Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake

July 11, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

If you love the flavors of classic shrimp scampi, you’re going to fall head over heels for this comforting Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake. It takes everything you adore—succulent shrimp, garlic, lemon, butter, and pasta—and bakes it into a cheesy, golden casserole that’s perfect for sharing.

Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or looking for a cozy family meal, this baked pasta dish is a crowd-pleaser. The creamy lemon-garlic sauce brings a rich brightness, while the melted mozzarella and Parmesan create a bubbly, satisfying finish. It’s a delicious way to bring a little coastal charm to your table, even if you’re far from the ocean.

What to Serve with Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake

Pair this pasta bake with a crisp green salad tossed in a simple vinaigrette, and don’t forget some warm, crusty garlic bread for soaking up every last drop of sauce. For extra color and nutrition, serve with a side of steamed asparagus, sautéed spinach, or roasted cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients

Servings: 6

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp and cook for 3–4 minutes, until pink and opaque. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  5. Deglaze the pan: Pour in the white wine (or broth), scraping the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Make the sauce: Stir in the lemon juice, zest, and heavy cream. Simmer gently for a few minutes.
  7. Combine with pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Assemble the bake: Transfer the pasta to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the cooked shrimp on top.
  9. Add cheese: Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the pasta.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven, top with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Tips & Variations

  • Lighten it up: Swap in half-and-half for the heavy cream if you want a lighter sauce.
  • No shrimp? No problem: Substitute cooked chicken or sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
  • Add a crunch: Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking for a crispy finish.
  • Customize the heat: Adjust the red pepper flakes based on your spice preference.

This Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake is a creamy, zesty, and comforting twist on a seafood favorite. It’s a dish you’ll want to add to your regular dinner rotation!
