Indulge in the perfect combination of rich chocolate flavor and creamy tang with these Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies. This visually stunning dessert is perfect for holidays, parties, or when you’re craving a unique twist on classic brownies.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Yield: 8–12 servings

Ingredients

For the Red Velvet Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

2. Prepare the Red Velvet Batter

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, stirring until fully combined.
  • Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.

3. Make the Cheesecake Layer

  • In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and lump-free.

4. Assemble the Brownies

  • Pour 3/4 of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Gently pour the cheesecake layer over the brownie batter, spreading it to the edges.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining red velvet batter on top of the cheesecake layer. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the red velvet batter through the cheesecake for a marbled effect.

5. Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).

6. Cool and Serve

  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. For cleaner cuts, refrigerate the brownies for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice into squares and serve as is or with whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for extra indulgence.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 3 months for longer storage.
  • Coloring Tip: If you prefer less food coloring, reduce or omit it for a more natural look, though the brownies won’t have the signature red velvet hue.
  • Add-Ins: Mix in white chocolate chips or dark chocolate chunks for added texture and flavor.

Enjoy these decadent, creamy, and irresistible Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies at your next gathering or as a well-deserved treat! 🍫🎂
