Raspberry Brownies: Sweet, Fruity, and Fudgy

December 30, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

Some of my fondest childhood memories involve summers at a family cabin and a kind, older gentleman named Frank. He had a forest full of raspberry bushes that he cared for like they were his own family. My sister and I loved visiting him because he’d let us pick the juiciest, ripest berries. Sometimes we enjoyed them straight from the bush, and other times we treated ourselves with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Those simple, sweet moments made raspberries feel like magic.

Today, while I don’t have a forest of raspberry bushes, I bring a little of that magic into my kitchen with Raspberry Brownies. Using a boxed brownie mix, fresh raspberries, and a touch of raspberry jam, these brownies are thick, fudgy, and bursting with fruity flavor—perfect for a simple yet indulgent treat.

Why You’ll Love These Raspberry Brownies

  • Quick & Easy: Made with a boxed brownie mix, these brownies come together in no time.
  • Fruity & Fudgy: Fresh raspberries and jam add a bright, tangy flavor to rich chocolate.
  • Perfect for Any Occasion: Ideal for a simple dessert, a bake sale, or a special treat with family.
  • Customizable: Swap in frozen raspberries if fresh aren’t available, or add chocolate chips for extra decadence.

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven according to the directions on the brownie mix box. Spray an 8×8-inch baking pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. Mix: Prepare the brownie mix as directed on the box.
  3. Add Raspberries: Gently stir 1 cup of raspberries into the batter.
  4. Add Jam: Drop small dollops (about 2 tablespoons total) of raspberry jam on top of the batter and swirl lightly with the tip of a knife.
  5. Top with Raspberries: Press a few additional raspberries onto the top of the batter for extra fruity goodness.
  6. Bake: Follow the baking time and temperature on the box. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Tips for Perfect Raspberry Brownies

  • Use fresh, firm raspberries to avoid excess moisture.
  • For an extra chocolatey twist, fold in chocolate chips along with the berries.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for a dessert that feels truly special.
