Description:
Oreo Truffles, also known as Oreo Balls, are a simple and irresistible treat made with just three ingredients: Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and almond bark. Perfect for any occasion, these decadent truffles are a crowd favorite!
Ingredients
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (not thins or double-stuffed)
- 1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature
- 12 ounces vanilla almond bark
- 12 ounces chocolate almond bark

Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. - Crush Oreos:
- Place Oreo cookies (with cream centers) into a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
- Alternative: If you don’t have a food processor, place the cookies in a ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin or meat mallet.
- Mix Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Use an electric mixer to blend until fully combined and dough-like.
- Shortcut: If your food processor is large enough, add the cream cheese directly and process until mixed.
- Form Truffles:
- Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture, roll into a ball, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Freeze the truffles for 20 minutes to firm them up for dipping.
- Melt Almond Bark:
- Melt the vanilla and chocolate almond barks in separate bowls according to package instructions.
- Dip and Decorate:
- Dip half of the truffles in melted vanilla almond bark and the other half in chocolate almond bark. Tap off excess coating and place them back on the baking sheet.
- To drizzle: Transfer leftover melted almond bark into small ziplock bags. Snip a corner off each bag and drizzle the white almond bark over the chocolate-dipped truffles and vice versa.
- Set Truffles:
- Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or let them set at room temperature for about 1 hour before serving.
Tips for Success:
- Cream Cheese: Ensure it’s softened to blend smoothly with the Oreo crumbs.
- Sticky Dough: If the dough is too sticky to handle, refrigerate it for 25-30 minutes before rolling.
- Almond Bark Substitutes: Use white or chocolate melting wafers (e.g., Ghirardelli) or candy melts. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable or canola oil for smoother melting.
- Oreo Variety: Experiment with different flavors like mint, golden Oreo, dark chocolate, or peppermint. Avoid using thins or double-stuffed varieties.
Enjoy these rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet Oreo Truffles—they’re sure to be a hit at any gathering!
