Lemon Mousse Recipe

This light and refreshing lemon mousse is made with just four simple ingredients and comes together in minutes! Perfect for hot summer days, it offers a less-sweet, creamy dessert option. With a delicate lemon flavor and a smooth texture, it’s the ideal treat to cool off.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (454g) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons (14g) confectioner’s sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (320g) lemon curd
  • 1 tablespoon (6g) lemon zest

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine heavy cream, confectioner’s sugar, and a pinch of salt. Using a hand or stand mixer, whip on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until medium peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in the lemon curd and lemon zest until fully incorporated.
  3. Spoon the mousse into 8 small dessert glasses (about ½ cup per serving). Optional: Garnish with whipped cream or additional lemon zest.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 24 hours) to allow the mousse to chill and firm up.
  5. Serve chilled for a light, delicious treat!

Notes:

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon zest equals the zest of one large lemon.
  • Chilling the mousse is essential for the best texture.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if you prefer a sweeter mousse.
  • Best served within 1-2 days; keeps in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
  • Garnish with whipped cream, lemon zest, or a vanilla wafer for an extra touch!
