Famous Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi

Kitchen Equipment Needed

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowls
  • Lemon zester or grater

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Cook the Shrimp

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Place shrimp in the skillet, cooking 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and fully cooked. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Make the Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, add white wine, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if desired). Stir well.
  2. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  2. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top.
  3. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
