September 30, 2025 by el hassan Leave a Comment

This quick and refreshing fruit smoothie bowl is perfect for busy mornings or a healthy snack. Made in just 5 minutes, it’s thick, creamy, and naturally packed with protein from Greek yogurt—or your favorite plant-based alternative. Add your favorite fruits and toppings for a colorful, nutrient-rich start to the day!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Ready in just 5 minutes
  • Packed with protein from Greek yogurt
  • No added processed sugar
  • Kid-friendly and fun to make
  • Perfect for a healthy breakfast or snack

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, chopped and frozen
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ⅓ cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt or vanilla Skyr (or plant-based yogurt for vegan/dairy-free)

Optional Toppings:

  • Sliced strawberries or bananas
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Granola
  • Shredded coconut
  • Nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.)
  • Chia seeds or sunflower seeds

Equipment

  • Food processor or high-speed blender
  • Plastic spatula

Instructions

  1. Prep: Chop the banana into 1-inch pieces and freeze for 1–2 hours or overnight.
  2. Blend: Add frozen banana, strawberries, pineapple, and yogurt to a food processor (or blender). Process for 2–4 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed, until smooth and creamy.
  3. Serve: Scoop into bowls and top with your favorite fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds. Enjoy immediately for the best texture!

Tips & Variations

  • Thicker Smoothie Bowl: Use less yogurt or slightly more frozen fruit.
  • Vegan Option: Substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt. It may be a little less thick but still delicious.
  • Flavor Twists: Try mango, blueberry, or mixed berry variations. Add a scoop of protein powder for extra protein.

Storage

Smoothie bowls are best enjoyed immediately. If needed, store in the fridge for 1–2 hours, but note the texture may soften as the ice melts.
